A+LSCURRICULUM GUIDE
The English Language - Word Analysis III
Grade Levels 7-9

The A+dvanced Learning System® Reading Curriculum is a comprehensive, completely integrated reading curriculum for grade levels 1-9. This program directs students from beginning reading levels to more advanced reading skills utilizing a Four-Step Approach in the Word Analysis, Vocabulary, and Comprehension title series. All of these series have extensive tutorial and instructional voice support.

The A+LS Four-Step Approach employs Study, Practice, Test and Essay exercises. This approach provides for the phonetic and visual introduction of the student to new words and word sounds, provides for multiple exposures to the use of words and word sounds while providing the student an opportunity to use words in context and in whole language exercises. The A+LS software design provides for an engaging, colorful learning environment.

The three Word Analysis titles teach word recognition and correct pronunciation while parallel reading exercises, utilizing these words in context and situations, are found in the companion Comprehension titles. All Word Analysis titles are voice and graphics supported to ensure correct pronunciation and to facilitate word recognition.
